Vintage Guerlain Paris Shalimar Parfum Bottle, Blue Glass Stopper, Smaller Flacon 1/4 Fl Ounce Size, Original Gold Label & Gold Neck Band, EMPTY Collectible Bottle This vintage Guerlain Paris petite sized parfum flacon has the traditional Shalimar shape, which is known as a parapluie or an inverted umbrella shape. It is also called chauve souris or the bat shape designed in 1924. I love the enchanting shape of the bottle as well as the lovely stopper! This is an EMPTY collectible display bottle & it made in France! The bottle has a good heft & is gorgeous; clear in color with ribbed design & lovely translucent blue glass stopper marked Guerlain Paris in gold cursive lettering. Around the neck, the original gold neck tag remains. The bottle has the original gold leaf shaped label outlined in black which is marked Parfum, Guerlain, Paris, The bottom of the bottle has raised lettering, GUERLAIN, bottle made in France, There is a clear plastic tag marked 68 Champs-Elysees, 75008 Paris, 7,5 ml, 1/4 Fl oz. 68% vol, YE 4 AD 3 Brief History: The urn shaped flacon was designed by Guerlain & some of the bottles were produced by Baccarat to hold only the extrait of Shalimar. The bottle was also produced by Pochet et du Courval, Saint Gobain des Jonqueres .. this particular bottle appears to be the St. Gobain with the wider neck at the base. The perfume named after the Garden of Shalimar was created in 1921 by Jacques Guerlain as a tribute to a love story by an Emperor of India & his wife.. “Temple of Love”. The heady scent is one of the best selling perfumes full of sensual aromas. Condition: Excellent, fragrant scent lingering in bottle. The stopper is free of damage & releases easily. This is an EMPTY sentimental collectible bottle with NO perfume. Great vanity display & nostalgic gift!
