This is a super nice hand tinted lithograph of Rome, with the Tevere in the foreground & the Basilica di San Pietro in the center of the image. The clouds are rolling by, & river shows motion as well. The sidewalk is filled with pedestrians in bright clothing. It’s a very lively & happy piecelike Rome itself! The piece is signed de Carly, & dates from the 1960s. It has been professionally matted & framed. While there are many images of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower & other landmarks, it is harder to find a lovely souvenir of Rome. This is a real gem! The 1-inch wide wood frame measures 12 1/2" wide X 14 3/4" tall X 5/8" deep. The view, which is surrounded by a cream & blush pink double mat is 5 1/2" wide X 7 7/8" tall. Very good vintage condition. The lithograph, mat, frame & dust cover are all in great condition. There is a secure wire on the back for instant hanging.
