This here is a wonderful Vintage Porcelain Figurine depicting a lady holding a blue flower in her arms. Her purple skirt matches the purple flower in her hat. " Peridot " is lettered at the front of the base. I strongly suspect a peridot gem stone was originally in place on the ring at the base. This gemstone is unfortunately no longer present, however, I’m sure a crafty hand could replace it with little difficulty. These beautiful green gemstones are the birthstone for those born in August. I do believe this figurine to be a Lefton piece, but please don’t hold me to gospel on that. Measuring appr 4 3/4" height & appr 2 1/4" by 2" at base, this figurine, which I believe to be from the mid 20th century, perhaps a bit earlier, is in good condition, showing a little wear from age & handling. Aside from the aforementioned missing gemstone, there are a few tiny chips to the edge of the flower in her hat. These can be seen in the photos & appear to be old. There an imperfection to the bottom edge of the base that I believe to be a manufacturing imperfection. Otherwise some minor paint wear, mainly to the gold ring & trim, along with the occasional small surface spot. All can be seen in photos, so please examine photos closely to properly determine condition. 1091, or 1601, is numbered on the bottom, also as can be seen in photos. Overall, a very nice little figurine that, though not in perfect condition, would make a nice addition to any collection. Would be perfect for someone born in the month of August.
