Large gold ring stitch markers fit needles up to 9mm (size 13 US). Clip progress keepers are best used clipped directly to the yarn of a project but do fit needles up to 4.5mm (7 US). This is the only option compatable with crochet, but many knitters also use them. If buying as a gift & you’re not sure what the recipient will like, this is often the best bet. Gold hex markers fit needles up to 6.5mm (size 10.5 US). Large gold hex markers fit needles up to 12mm (size 17 US). Extra large gold hex markers fit needles up to 17mm (size 19 US). They have a nice weight to them, but aren’t heavy. The color may wear over time & enamel may scratch with use, this does not affect the usability of these markers.
