The are made of metal & enameled in red with dark blue rims. The fabulous fish pattern is in black & white enamel. The bowls are larger than the plates. There are 4 bowls & 4 plates included with this posting. If you are planning on serving lots of seafood this summer, this set is perfect! A great gift for a chef as well! Measurements - 4 Bowls - 12 1/8" in diameter x 1 3/4" in height. 4 Plates - 10 1/4" in diameter x 1" in height. Condition - This vintage set is in overall great condition. There are some imperfections in the enamel including little holes on the bottom from resting on stilts in a kiln. One of the plates has some cloudy area on the front which did not show up in photos.
