Presented is a wonderful set of 11 sterling silver ice cream forks by Whiting, a division of Gorham. These forks are done in the popular Louis XV pattern, which began production in 1891. The forks are quite sturdy & well constructed, made from heavy gauge silver. The forks are monogrammed on the terminal with ‘FC’ in elegant script. These are small four-tined forks, suitable for seafood, salad, or anything you like. This set is in excellent overall condition. The forks have some wear to the tines, as they have not been buffed, but nothing excessive or extremely noticeable. The details of the pattern are sharp & crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no monogram removals, & no repairs. Each fork is hallmarked on the stem with the maker’s mark for Whiting as well as sterling & pat. 1891.
