The identification of kilim types is a problematic business that perplexes the market worldwide. Because of the incredible number of different kilim designs pra prevalent - especially within Anatolia, & often within one small area - & the lack of documentation on kilim-weaving, it is difficult to be entirely accurate about the attribution of kilims. Konya on the other hand has always been a significant carpet-making center for Turkey. Both in hand-knotted rugs & hand-woven kilims.
