TITLE: “Sailing Past Bandon Light” - Open Edition Giclee PRINT from the original watercolor. UNFRAMED & UNMATTED: - My prints are sold unframed & unmatted. The framed & matted pictures are for display purposes only. I also try to provide ideas of how you can have them framed & matted at your local frame shop. DETAILS: - The print is signed by the artist. -NOTE: Some of the sizes crop a little from the top & bottom or the sides. If the size crops very much it will be pictured. I try to provide a wide variety of sizes for each print including sizes that fit standard frames & sizes that allow for matting to be added to standard sized frames. - Custom sizes available upon request - The “print size” is the size of the actual image. I include a 1" white border in addition to the print size (for example: a 9" x 12" print has a 1" white border on all sides making the final paper size 11" x 14"). in the white border along the bottom of the print is the title of the print. - The print is on textured fine art paper that has a similar look & feel to watercolor paper. - I use archival, high quality, pigmented inks that are rated to last up to 200 years under optimal conditions. It is best, however, to limit direct sun exposure to prints & originals, or at least be aware that continual, direct sunlight will shorten the lifespan of any piece of art no matter how good the quality of pigment is. INSPIRATION for the PRINT The Coquille River Light was originally known as “Bandon Light” & sits along the mouth of the Coquille River in the Southern Oregon coast town of Bandon. It sits at 40 feet tall & was first lit in 1896. It was finally decommissioned in 1939 & is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Bandon is a fun, small beach town that boasts great, locally sourced seafood, unique rock formations along the beach & an amazing cheese factory (Face Rock Creamery - make sure to stop if you are in the area, their ice cream also rocks! . . .). Bandon is the center of the Oregon cranberry industry, producing 95 percent of Oregon’s cranberries, so one should also try something tasty that is cranberry flavored while in the area. SIZES & FRAMING SUGGESTIONS (For you to use at your local frame shop): - I don’t provide framing or matting. While I have spent most of my life honing my craft as an artist, I haven’t spent nearly as much time working on the skill of framing. Therefore your local framer is no doubt much better at it than I am. Plus, frames are delicate & costly to ship, so going to your local frame shop will be both cheaper & better. Custom Framing: - The price of framing can vary widely depending on what you are looking for. Custom framing gives you the most options & you can have any size of print custom framed. Framing is like buying a suit: you can find pretty nice, inexpensive suits on the rack, but fitted suits will look a lot better & accentuate the person much better. in the same way, custom frames are like buying a fitted suit where
