A vintage Sailor Boy brand half gallon oyster tin can from R. F. Brown Sea Food Co. in Lansing MI. The can dates from the 1960’s. It has its top with it. Great navy sailor graphics. The can is about 3¾ inches tall. R. F. Brown was a seafood broker who purchased oysters from packing houses on the Chesapeake Bay. The oysters were packed in his Sailor Boy Brand cans. There are earlier Sailor Boy cans from the F.F. East packing houses in Baltimore & Maurice River NJ. Thanks for looking at our store.
